1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It does not maintain official criminal records, perform official checks, retrieve records, or submit filings for users.

Its function is to identify custodians such as the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, Lewis County courts, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, along with outside tools that may support personal research. Access to government records remains governed by sources such as the Tennessee Public Records Act and Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you must not:

• Use the website in violation of federal, Tennessee, or local law
• Threaten, stalk, or harass a person with information obtained here
• Rely on site content for employment, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
• Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
• Deploy scrapers, bots, or other automated access tools
• Interfere with site operation or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked tool may not be used to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or discriminate against anyone. Tennessee law places special restrictions on misuse of Tennessee Sex Offender Registry information. Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 40-39-206 and 40-39-214 address public disclosure and prohibited misuse. Registry information is provided for public safety, never vigilantism, blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not produce consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Our partners and this site do not supply services designed to evaluate applicants, renters, insurance risk, or credit. You may not use information from either source to:

• Make a hiring or termination decision
• Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
• Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
• Determine eligibility for a government benefit, permit, or license
• Carry out any other activity regulated by the FCRA

When a regulated purpose requires a background check, use a lawful official channel through the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA. TBI authority for Tennessee criminal-history checks appears in Tenn. Code Ann. § 38-6-120.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General information about Lewis County criminal records cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule applies to an individual matter. Consult an attorney licensed in Tennessee for legal advice.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are supplied "as is." We make no promise that:

• Information will always be accurate, complete, or current
• Access will remain uninterrupted
• Pages will contain no defect, error, or security weakness
• An outside search provider will return complete or accurate results

Tennessee law governs these terms. A dispute arising from use of the site must be brought in a court located in Tennessee.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be changed only to the extent required for enforceability.
