- Hohenwald police reports and City Court matters: call 931-796-2231 for the city offices listed at 106 North Court Street
- State criminal histories and official name checks: use the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Criminal Justice Information Services Division and Tennessee Open Records Information Services
- Public-record requests: address the request to the office that holds the existing record under the Tennessee Public Records Act
- Registry records: use the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Tennessee Sex Offender Registry
Lewis County does not publish a separately named sheriff's records division, county request portal, local request form, report fee schedule, or promised turnaround. For sheriff-held records, use the main sheriff and jail contact above. For General Sessions or Circuit case files, use the clerk instead.
